Sansa, who was born in a small town Seinajoki now divides her time between Tampere (FIN) and London, studied film sound design before devoting her time to music. She delivers delicately crafted songs that are a heart warming mix of folk, pop and electronic music. Her vocals carry melody and passion, her voice has been described husky, velvety and hypnotic.
She’s been working internationally with songwriters in Austin, London, Berlin, Stockholm and Helsinki as well as with the established DJ’s all over the world. Her latest vocal track “A Little More” is a co-write with Kaskade and John Dahlback. The EDM track reached top ten on the iTunes dance charts and number 1 on the Beatport dance charts and currently has over 12 million Spotify plays. It was the first single from Kaskade’s album “Automatic”.
At 16 she played soccer in the women’s Master League in Finland and she dreamt of playing abroad some day. Her brother had an acoustic guitar and whenever he wasn’t home, Sansa sneaked into his room and started improvising her own songs. She never thought that she could pursue a career in music. She didn’t even know that she could sing.
But she has always listened to music and been open to many genres. She learned to sing by singing along with Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Madonna, Björk, Ace Of Base, Massive Attack and Zero7 just to name a few. Later Sansa got herself a degree in music and further educated herself by completing a Bachelor’s degree in Media & Arts.
Sansa has released 3 solo albums. Currently she is working on a number of yet to be announced co-writes and her solo material due for release in 2017.
