London based artist and songwriter Sansa delivers delicately crafted songs that are a heart warming mix of folk, pop and electronic music. Her vocals carry melody and passion, her voice has been described husky, airy and hypnotic.
She’s been working internationally with songwriters in Austin, London, Berlin, Stockholm and Helsinki as well as with the established DJ’s all over the world. Her latest vocal track “A Little More” is a co-write with Kaskade and John Dahlback. The EDM track reached top ten on the iTunes dance charts and number 1 on the Beatport dance charts and currently has over 10 million Spotify plays. It was the first single from Kaskade’s album “Automatic”.
Before moving to the UK she’s been making music in her homeland, Finland releasing 3 solo albums and writing songs for other artists.
Sansa was born in Seinäjoki, a small town in Western Finland. At 16 she played soccer in the women’s Master League in Finland. Her brother had an acoustic guitar and whenever he was out seeing his friends, Sansa sneaked into his room and started improvising her own songs – music become her playground.
She was inspired by the early tunes of Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Madonna, Björk, Ace Of Base, Massive Attack and Zero7 just to name a few. Sansa got herself a degree in singing and further educated herself by completing a BA degree in Film and TV sound.
Currently she is working on a number of yet to be announced co-writes and her own solo material that are due for release in 2016.
